On Jan. 13, Telechips, a technology-driven semiconductor company, signed an MOU with Daegu metropolitan city to establish a research institute in DGFEZ's Suseong district.
Telechips was established in 1999 as a company specializing in automotive semiconductor design. It has been supplying semiconductor components to leading global brand models such as Europe, Japan, and Korea.
Through this MOU, Telechips will invest 33.7 billion won to build a 1,039㎡ Daegu Research Institute on the site of DGFEZ Suseong district. Telechips plans to conduct R&D with 100 professional researchers of the software and algorithm development department, such as vehicle communication chips and AI-based next-generation intelligent semiconductor development.
