The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority held the "Titanium-based Living Consumer Goods Convergence Industry Revitalization Technology Seminar" online and offline at Daegu Catholic University on November 26 to share the current status of titanium-based living consumer goods manufacturing technology.

The seminar was designed to be attended by industry, academia, research, and government officials to exchange trends in the household consumer goods industry based on functional titanium materials and share original technologies and production technologies for the development of titanium intermediate goods, which currently relies entirely on imports.

Technology announcements were made in the order of △ titanium alloy glass frame manufacturing technology (by Dong-A Special Metal), △Ti alloy rolling technology and domestic operation case (by POSCO), △ titanium-based medical device development status (by Korentec), △ titanium alloy glasses manufacturing technology (by Factory People), and △titanium-based kitchen instrument development (by hanil)

Choi Sam-ryong, Commissioner of DGFEZA, said, "We will work together with industry, academia, research, and government to create new added value and establish itself as a global brand so that Fashion Tech Clusters in Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry District can become the mecca of functional titanium-based household goods.“
