The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (DGFEZ) authority inked a memorandum of understanding to support foreign-invested companies through the cooperation with local government and private institutions. Under the MOU, all participants agreed to support foreign companies to resolve various issues concerning tax, immigration, employment, intellectual property rights and even daily convenience. The organizations signing the MOU were:

• Daegu-Gyeongbuk Regional Division of KT.
• Daegu Regional Employment and Labor Office
• Daegu Regional Immigration Office
• Daegu Regional Tax Office
• Keimyung University
• Yeungnam University
At the ceremony, DGFEZ Commissioner Byung-Rok Choi stated, "We have established a network to swiftly cope with foreign investors' grievances and daily lives, which will help foreign-invested companies in DGFEZ concentrate on the management of their company.”
