Suseong Medical District will be called Suseong Alpha City

On August 20, Daegu Urban Development Corporation (DUDC) announced ‘Suseong Alpha City’ as a new name for Suseong Medical District. DUDC held a contest to collect name ideas and among 239 ideas, 4 were selected as winning names. ‘Suseong Alpha City’ won the 1st prize, ‘Apple Valley’ and ‘Suseong Creative City’ won the 2nd, and ‘Suseong Smart City’ won the 3rd. The new name ‘Suseong Alpha City’ aims to represent +α synergy effect arose in Suseong Medical District where industry (medical, IT, education) and convenient living environment (residential, commercial, cultural) are all combined. The new name Suseong Alpha City will be used for PR and investment promotion activities along with the existing name Suseong Medical District after designing its logo.
