Suseong Smart City amends development plan

The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Energy (MOTIE) approved Suseong Smart City, a special free economic zone located in Daegu, to change its development plan from healthcare, education and cultural facilities to healthcare, IT and software.

In accordance with this amendment, Suseong Smart City will be designated as a medical tourism town where visitors can receive specialized healthcare service and accommodation in one location.

The district will also construct 3S Smart World a complex to house software, semiconductor (SOC) and sensor industry, Suseong Smart City looks to be equipped with knowledge-based infrastructure.

Suseong Smart City will begin development in the summer of 2014, and will sell lots from December 2014.
