DGFEZ Engages in All-Out Marketing Activities to Induce Investment from China

DGFEZ (Director: Inseon Lee) had an investment inducement briefing presentation session in Grande Mercure Century Park Hotel located in Shanghai
on November 9, 2017 (11:00).
The investment inducement presentation meeting, which was held in line with the signs of reconciliation in the relationship between China and South Korea, was attended by the heads of six bank branches in Shanghai and 40 local figures, indicating a high level of interest in investing in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.
DGFEZ introduced the foreign investment incentives and the investment environments in the eight Free Economic Zones in Daegu and Gyeongbuk area, which was followed by 1:1 investment and business discussion sessions to engage in active business exchanges with the local businesses. The attendees in the meeting expressed keen interest in Gyeongsan Knowledge Industry Complex, which is focused on construction equipment and Suseong Medical Complex, which is focused on SW and medical industry.
Commissioner Inseon Lee, the 4th commissioner of DGFEZ who has been appointed since October 27, started her official overseas activities in Shanghai and said “While the season is getting cold as autumn as winter is coming. However, the relationship between China and South Korea is now entering warm spring,” asking for more interest in DGFEZ, which is good investment environment and locations and pledging full support for investing companies.
DFFEZ plans to engage in investment inducement from China, which has been slowed down due to the sensitivities in the relationships between the two countries, and actively invigorate the investment through activities such as identifying potential companies and visiting enterprises, etc.
In addition, Commissioner Inseon Lee had a meeting with the Head of the Business Association of Daegu and Gyeongbuk and the head of Shanghai Branch of Daegu Bank before the said event to exchange opinions on the economic trends in China. In addition, Commissioner Inseon Lee plans to participate in the Regular General Assembly of Overseas Consultation Association for Gyeongbuk in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on November 10, where he plans to give a presentation on DGFEZ, before he returns to South Korea.
