Investment Environment Tour for the Kyushu Japan-Korea Economic Exchange Associa

  • Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone (DGFEZ, Commissioner Lee Inseon) held an investment environment briefing/zone inspection tour for 20 entrepreneurs of the Kyushu Japan-Korea Economic Exchange Association (Chairperson Shinohara, President of Daiichi Institution Industry) on May 23, 2019 (Thu).
     
  • The Kyushu Japan-Korea Economic Exchange Association is a private organization established in 2010 for mutual exchanges between Korean and Japanese entrepreneurs and 33 member companies have been continuing economic exchange by visiting Korea every year.
     
  • The investment environment briefing session (DGFEZ, Conference Room) focused on the Gyeongsan Intelligent Industry Biz-Hub, a specialized machinery and medical materials district, Fusion Tech District, a specialized bio/energy district and Suseong Medical District, an IT/SW-based knowledge service industry, to explain investment environments. It also provided information on joint ventures, free economic zone incentives, and settlement conditions, which are the issues that overseas businessmen were curious about. After that, the attendees visited the Suseong Medical District and the Daegu Digital Industry Promotion Agency.
     
  • This event was the result of continuous exchanges with the Kyushu Japan-Korea Economic Exchange Association since 2011 and it is meaningful as the increased investments by the resident Japanese companies of DGFEZ, such as Daicel, Nakamura Tome, NOK and THK are being actively made. 
     
  • Commissioner Lee said, “We will continue to try to make effort to attract Japanese entrepreneurs to Daegu-Gyeongbuk and to lead to real investments by seeking various attraction plans and corporate support plans.”
     
  • Chairman Shinohara of the Kyushu Japan-Korea Economic Exchange Association and attending entrepreneurs expressed their high interest and satisfaction for DGFEZ's enthusiasm and willingness to attract business, and said that they would consider DGFEZ first for overseas investment.
