International Aircraft Smart Interior Industry Forum
- Yeongcheon High-tech Park Starts Attracting Businesses -
◯ Daegu Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (hereinafter referred to as “DGFEZ”, In-Seon Lee, Commissioner) held the Forum for Construction of Gyeongbuk Aircraft Smart Interior Industry through International Cooperation at 14:00 on October 18 (Friday) at Seoul President Hotel together with the Aviation System Technology Center of the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (hereinafter referred to as “Aviation System Technology Center”).
 
◯ In this forum, more than 60 domestic and international experts and business people participated including the National Research Commission (NRC) of Canada, Consortium for Resarch and Innovation in Aerospace in Quebec (CRIAQ), Bombardier Inc. (one of top three manufacturer of airplanes), Hanwha Systems Co., Ltd., and Digitron Co., Ltd.
 
The presentations started with introduction of the partnership areas of the Canadian aerospace industry (CRIAQ), followed by △ Introduction of the aircraft interior development center and partnership areas (NRC), △ Current status and plan of Gyeongbuk aircraft smart interior industry (Aviation System Technology Center), △Development and certification plans for aircraft interior development (Bombardier), △ Introduction of aircraft interior R&D (Ryerson University), △ Presentation by domestic company (Hanwha Systems), and △ Introduction to the Yeongcheon High-tech Park (DGFEZ).
 
◯ Commissioner In-Seon Lee revealed her determination to “actively attract aviation interior companies in the Yeongcheon High-tech Park which will break ground in this December on the occasion of this forum.”
