On May 18, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority(DGFEZ) presented an investment environment briefing (IR) on the eight districts within the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone to the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea(ECCK, Chairman Philippe van Hoof) and discussed ways to cooperate in attracting cutting-edge European companies.
This meeting was organized to expand investment from European companies with competitive strengths in future-oriented industries. DGFEZ and ECCK agreed to strengthen cooperation in various areas, including the sharing of investment information, personnel exchanges, and support for joint events.
Acting DGFEZ Commissioner Sang-Ki Kang stated, “There are many high-tech companies in Europe that can help strengthen Korea’s industrial competitiveness,” adding, “We expect the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea to serve as a solid bridge connecting European companies with the DGFEZ.”
