On April 28, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (DGFEZ) invited Melanie Oh, Executive Director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea(CanCham Korea), to hold an investment promotion IR session and strengthen the foundation for cooperation aimed at attracting more Canadian companies.
 
This IR session was designed to go beyond a simple investment presentation and serve as an opportunity to explore practical avenues for cooperation between the two organizations. The DGFEZ and CanCham Korea agreed to establish a multifaceted cooperation framework, including the sharing of investment information, the expansion of professional networks, and the promotion of joint events.
 
Acting Commissioner Sang-Ki Kang stated, “Given that overseas investment promotion activities are facing constraints due to recent geopolitical instability in the Middle East and Europe, cooperation with foreign chambers of commerce based in Korea is becoming increasingly important.” He added, “We will continue to expand our investment promotion base by connecting with various domestic and international investment networks.”
