The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority(DGFEZ) announced that it held the “First 2026 Capacity-Building Training Session for Tenant Companies” on Wednesday, April 15, at Hanjung NCS Co., Ltd. in Yeongcheon, with approximately 30 employees from tenant companies in attendance.
 
This training was organized to enhance market competitiveness and maximize operational efficiency by practically integrating generative AI into manufacturing sites in response to the rapidly changing industrial environment.

A key feature of this training was its shift away from theory-based lectures to focus on “hands-on exercises based on generative AI application scenarios” that workers can immediately use on the job.
 
Starting with this first session, the DGFEZ plans to offer advanced training in June and September this year to actively support the smart transformation of local industries.
 
Sang-Ki Kang, Acting Commissioner of the DGFEZ, stated, “This training will serve as a turning point for local manufacturers to master the powerful tool of AI and boost productivity,” adding, “We will continue to provide job-specific professional training to ensure tenant companies do not fall behind in the era of digital transformation.”
