The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority(DGFEZ) announced on Thursday, April 9, that ANPOLY, which has invested in the Pohang Fusion Tech District, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its headquarters and factory and has begun full-scale operations.
 
ANPOLY is an innovative company that produces eco-friendly bio-materials based on nanocellulose extracted from plant resources. It has been recognized for its unparalleled technological capabilities on the global stage, having won an Innovation Award at ‘CES 2024’.
 
The newly completed facility spans 4,429 square meters(B1 to 3F) and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the research, development, and production of advanced bio-materials. Notably, the completion of this facility secures an annual production capacity of over 1,000 tons of nanocellulose, a scale that ensures competitiveness not only in the domestic market but also globally.
 
Kang Sang-Ki, Acting Commissioner of the DGFEZ, stated, “We welcome ANPOLY’s move into the district and the completion of its factory, which demonstrates global capabilities,” adding, “We will devote all our resources to attracting promising companies and providing administrative support so that the Pohang Fusion Tech District can leap to be a hub for the bio industry.”
