DGFEZ is launching an IR targeting venture capital firms and SW companies in the United Kingdom.

From September 17th to 22nd, the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (DGFEZ) conducted investment attraction activities targeting potential financial investors (venture capitalists) and software (SW) companies in the United Kingdom.

This Investor Relations (IR) was organized in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK), with whom DGFEZ has been cooperating annually since 2019. It involved identifying potential investors locally and conducting individual visits to their offices.

For financial investors (venture capitalists), DGFEZ plans to promote promising local investment opportunities and introduce Korean companies planning to expand their business to Korea, with the aim of attracting equity or joint investments. The strategy includes marketing efforts to highlight investment opportunities and showcasing tech companies looking to expand into Korea from the investors' databases.

Regarding SW companies, DGFEZ intends to introduce available investment sites within Suseong Alpha City and provide information about incentives. They will also outline the support provided by the city of Daegu, including partnerships with local businesses to facilitate a successful settlement. DGFEZ plans to encourage companies to establish their initial domestic branches in Alpha City and inform them about programs available for institutional support when setting up their operations.
DGFEZ recognizes the increasing interest in investing in Korea in the post-Brexit era and aims to capitalize on the local atmosphere by continuing to pursue strategic investment attraction IRs targeting the United Kingdom in the future.
