On May 6, 2021, Kevin C.F. Lin (林晨富, Kevin C.F. Lin), Director General of Busan Office, Taipei Mission in Korea, visited Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Commissioner Sam Ryong Choi and discussed economic exchanges between Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do and Taiwan.

Director General Lin, who was appointed in Busan Office this March, mentioned the active exchanges between the two regions before the COVID-19 pandemic and emphasized that the whole world must work together to overcome this crisis.

Commissioner of DGFEZ explained the current status of the DGFEZ, investment projects and suggested to brace up for the post-COVID-19 era together through mutual cooperation and close communication.

Additionally, mentioning the current boom in the global semiconductor industry and Taiwan’s economic growth, Commissioner Choi said the two regions will be economically further developed if Taiwan's advanced IT, software, and high-tech companies with world-class competitiveness invest more in Daegu. To do so, he asked Busan Office of Taipei Mission in Korea for continued interest and support for DGFEZ.
